She was born 26 August 1910 – 5 September 1997 in what is known now as Macedonia but at that time part of the Kosova Ottoman Empire.Mother Teresa MC, known in the Catholic Church as Saint Teresa of Calcutta.

Today thousands gather in the Square of the Capital of Macedonie Skopje for the Canonization of Mother Teresa MC, known in the Catholic Church as Saint Teresa of Calcutta.

Saint Teresa was of Albanian Indian descent a Roman Catholic Nun and missionary and spent most of her life in Calcutta, West Bengal, India

She died on 5 September 1997 (aged 87)

Venerated in  Roman Catholic Church

Beatified   19 October 2003, Saint Peter's Square, Vatican City by Pope John Paul II

Canonized 4 September 2016, Saint Peter's Square, Vatican City by Pope Francis
